Legal Advisor – Collection Methodology and Development, Sofia

Основни задължения
  • Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving, standardizing, and automating collection and litigation processes.
  • Develop and maintain methodologies, standards, and procedures for both out-of-court and judicial collection of non-performing retail loans.
  • Provide legal expertise and methodological support, ensuring compliance with legislation, internal policies, and industry best practices.
  • Analyze debt collection processes and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and digitalization.
  • Draft business requirements and collaborate on enhancements to systems and tools used by legal and collection teams.
  • Monitor legislative changes, court practice, and market trends related to non-performing loans, translating them into practical improvements and updated methodologies.
  • Design and maintain training materials, guidelines, and knowledge resources for legal counsels, experts, and inspectors.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to support professional development and process consistency across the team.
  • Develop and monitor control mechanisms to ensure effective process execution and compliance.
  • Analyze litigation portfolios and recommend strategies to improve collection effectiveness and case management.
  • Prepare legal opinions, reports, recommendations, and analyses related to collection processes and methodology.
  • Participate in projects focused on process optimization, portfolio quality improvement, and system development.


Изисквания за заемане на длъжността
  • Law degree and full legal qualification.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in debt collection, litigation, banking, financial services, or a related legal field.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, lookups, and working with large datasets.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret operational and portfolio data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining methodologies, procedures, or operational frameworks.
  • Ability to translate legal and business requirements into functional specifications for system enhancements and process automation initiatives.
  • Experience working with digital tools, workflow management systems, case management platforms, or collection systems.
  • Understanding of process optimization, automation, and digital transformation principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently manage complex cases and projects.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of information while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence presenting findings, recommendations, and process improvements to stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1 or higher), both written and spoken.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across legal, operational, and technology teams.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel when required.

Nice to have:

  • Experience participating in system implementation, process automation, or digitalization projects.
  • Knowledge of business process mapping and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience creating training materials, knowledge bases, and operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with portfolio segmentation, performance reporting, and KPI analysis.
  • Experience working with Power BI, reporting tools, or other data visualization platforms.
