General duties
  • Strategic Workforce Planning: Partner with senior management and business leaders to develop workforce strategies aligned with the bank’s business priorities, growth ambitions, and financial objectives. Translate strategic goals into workforce requirements, capability needs, critical skill gaps, and organizational design recommendations. Establish workforce planning principles and ensure a consistent, enterprise-wide approach across the organization.
  • Budget & Headcount Management: Own the bank’s annual personnel expense and headcount planning cycle, from budget development and stakeholder alignment through to forecasting, monitoring, and variance analysis. Deliver executive-level reporting and insights on workforce costs, headcount trends, and resource allocation, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and areas requiring management action.
  • Stakeholder Management & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders on workforce, organizational, and people investment decisions. Translate complex business challenges and workforce data into clear, commercially grounded recommendations that support informed decision-making. Bring a proactive advisory mindset, anticipating emerging issues, shaping strategic discussions, and influencing decisions before requests emerge.
  • Organizational Design, Job Architecture & Grading: Support the development and consistent application of the bank’s organizational design principles, job architecture, and grading framework. Partner with business units undergoing change to ensure organizational structures remain effective, scalable, and aligned with strategic priorities while maintaining consistency across the enterprise.
  • Enterprise Transformation Advisory: Operate as an internal transformation consultant, embedding workforce, organizational effectiveness, performance, and people cost perspectives into strategic initiatives. Support leaders in translating transformation objectives into practical decisions regarding structure, capacity, capabilities, governance, and sustainable operating models.
  • Compensation & Benefits Frameworks: Contribute to the review, application, and evolution of remuneration practices, market benchmarking, and compensation frameworks. Support compensation-related decisions arising from organizational changes, talent acquisition, and annual salary increase cycles.
  • Performance Management Advisory: Review and advise on the application of performance management processes across the bank to support a consistent, fair, and high-performance culture. Identify implementation issues, improvement opportunities, and areas requiring management attention. Participate in the design, refinement, and transformation of performance management frameworks.
  • People Analytics and Executive Insight: Use workforce data to generate insights on headcount trends, cost drivers, attrition, organizational effectiveness, and workforce risks. Translate data into concise, decision-ready materials that enable senior management to make informed strategic decisions. Experience with workforce modelling, advanced analytics, or predictive people analytics is considered a strong advantage, but not a requirement.


Requirements
  • Professional experience within a management consulting firm, financial services institution or through direct involvement in complex organizational or transformation programs.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen, with confidence in managing budgets, interpreting data, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong motivation to grow within the banking industry, with the curiosity and initiative to proactively identify opportunities, solve problems, and shape meaningful work.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and adapt quickly to evolving business needs.
  • A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to meaningful organizational transformation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Comfort working with data and analytics tools; experience with Power BI or similar platforms is considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to workforce planning, organizational design, compensation, performance management, or people analytics is advantageous but not essential.
