We are looking for a motivated Information Security Engineer to join the IT Security Strategic Development & Architecture Team — a key function within DSK Bank’s Information Security Department.
Our team drives the strategic evolution of the Bank’s security architecture, supports large-scale IT and business initiatives, and ensures alignment with cybersecurity frameworks, emerging technologies, and regulatory standards (including DORA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIS2, etc.).

This position is ideal for a technically oriented and curious individual eager to work on enterprise-level infrastructure, security design and modernization projects within one of the largest financial institutions in Bulgaria.

 Main Responsibilities

• Support IT and business projects by providing security design and architecture guidance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure secure implementation of systems, applications, and services.
• Participate in the evaluation and onboarding of new IT solutions and vendors, assessing compliance with internal cybersecurity standards.
• Assist in maintaining and improving information security controls, documentation, and security procedures.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Bank’s cybersecurity architecture, frameworks, and strategies.
• Contribute to internal security awareness and compliance initiatives.
• Maintain and document IT security configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Research new cybersecurity tools, controls, and emerging technologies applicable to banking environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–5 years of professional experience in IT or cybersecurity-related roles.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure fundamentals, including operating systems, networking, and virtualization.
• Knowledge of key security concepts such as access control, encryption, authentication, and secure configurations.
• Hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:
• Infrastructure systems or network security
• Security engineering / secure configurations
• Authentication and identity management
• Security protocols and cryptography
• Understanding of security governance and compliance principles (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, DORA, NIS2).
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• English (B2 level) – required for documentation, communication, and technical research.
• Professional certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CEH, or similar) are considered an advantage.
