Head of IT Monitoring Development

General duties:

  • Lead the first line of defense for risk management and internal control.
  • Manage, guide, and develop a team of IT monitoring specialists.
  • Set goals, define priorities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, collaboration, mentoring, and a positive work environment.
  • Develop and implement proactive monitoring strategies and automated alerting.
  • Select, configure, and manage monitoring tools.
  • Ensure alignment of monitoring activities with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Capacity, Availability).
  • Collaborate with process owners to integrate monitoring systems with ITIL tools and workflows.
  • Support root cause analysis and capacity planning with monitoring data.
  • Analyze monitoring data and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Define and track KPI metrics for monitoring effectiveness and team performance.
  • Create documentation and provide regular performance reports to management

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Information Technology, Computer Systems, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • In-depth knowledge of monitoring systems (Zabbix, Grafana, Dynatrace, Instana, etc.).
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible, etc.).
  • Experience integrating monitoring with log management, alerting systems, and ticketing platforms (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Excellent team management, project management, and communication skills.
  • Good working level of English.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to build and develop a team.
  • Strategic thinking and results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High responsibility, initiative, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
