Fifth award Most Generous and Significant Corporate Partner for DSK Bank from SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria

The award was presented at the annual One Family awards ceremony, which took place at the Gloria Palace Diplomatic Club on the International Day of SOS Children's Villages - June 23. SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria awarded its most significant and loyal corporate partners. The double celebration brought together friends and partners who, despite the trials of recent months, have not given up on supporting the association, which allows hundreds of children and young people deprived of parental care to receive care and have an equal start. The Chief Executive Officer of DSK Bank Tamas Hak-Kovacs personally received the award from the Chairman of the Management Board of SOS Children's Villages Vesselin Komitov.
"Corporate social responsibility suggests moral responsibility in terms of whom and how we offer support. As a manager, I am extremely particular that we provide transparent and meaningful support, as it is an investment in the future that we make jointly with our clients. In addition to the support from the Bank in the form of annual allowance for "our" two SOS families, we also include our customers, who can make a donation too at our ATMs, if they wish to. This support will continue, and very soon we hope that this will be possible not only with one press of the ATM button, but with one click of the phone key, " Tamas Hak-Kovacs said receiving the award.
The award also comes in the year in which DSK Bank and SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria celebrate the 10th anniversary of their partnership. The financial institution has supported the activities of the association with over BGN 3.5 million., and in the last two years Expressbank as well had provided financial support. In 2019 alone, the total amount donated by the two banks amountеd to nearly BGN 1 million, generated from annual corporate sponsorship, donations from customers at ATMs and personal donations by employees. The funds are used to provide the children, young people and foster families of the association with material and educational assistance, foster care, psychological, psycho-social and speech therapy consultations, etc.
SOS Children's Villages Bulgaria Association is the first civil human rights organization in the country to provide direct care for children and families at risk. So far, the association has supported 60,000 children in various projects.
