Kalin Hristov

Kalin Hristov has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DSK Bank since August 2025.

He obtained a Master’s degree in Macroeconomics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia in 1996. Between 1997 and 2000, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, and from 2001 to 2004 – Chief Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance at the same university.

He has more than 26 years of professional experience in the financial sector, including as Economist at the Centre for Central Banking Studies at the Bank of England, long-standing member of the Governing Council and Deputy Governor of the Issue Department at the Bulgarian National Bank. From March to May 2013, he served as Minister of Finance in the caretaker government of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Hristov has held senior positions in various institutions, including Chairman of the Board of Directors of „BNB Printing Works“ AD, BORICA AD, and „Cash Services Company“ AD. He has represented Bulgaria in key European bodies, including the European Central Bank, the Single Resolution Board, the European Systemic Risk Board, and the Economic and Financial Committee of ECOFIN.
