DSK Bank Launches the First Fully AI-Based Assistant in Bulgaria

DSK Bank unveils the first fully AI-powered assistant in Bulgaria that understands natural human language. The new assistant is the first online tool accessible to both existing and prospective clients of the bank. The AI assistant provides information about all products, services, and fees offered by DSK Bank. It is designed to be helpful for both general inquiries and more complex questions related to banking solutions.

In the future, it is expected to evolve into a personal banking advisor capable of providing recommendations and performing tasks with minimal human involvement.

Users can easily find it — on DSK Bank’s website via the AI icon in the lower right corner, as well as on the DSK Direct online banking platform. Soon, the assistant will also be integrated into the DSK Mobile banking app, where it will offer personalized information for each customer.

The AI assistant is based on generative artificial intelligence provided by OpenAI and is specially trained with contextual information about DSK Bank’s products and services.

This enables it to understand natural human language and provide accurate and relevant answers without being limited by predefined scripts.

Unlike traditional chatbots that rely on machine learning or static responses, DSK Bank’s generative AI offers a more intuitive and flexible user interaction.

The new AI assistant is an innovation that transforms the way people interact with the bank — not only customers but everyone seeking information or interested in banking services. Responses are delivered in under 10 seconds, making communication fast and efficient.

“Global trends indicate that 2025 will be the year of AI agents — intelligent systems that will increasingly become part of our daily lives,” said Petko Rangelov, Head of Digital, Data, and Technology at DSK Bank. “Although many companies are already experimenting with similar technologies, DSK Bank is the first Bulgarian bank to offer a fully AI-based assistant for its clients and potential users. This is just the beginning of a new era in banking services, where artificial intelligence plays a key role in creating a better, faster, and more personalized customer experience,” he added.

The new AI assistant is part of DSK Bank’s ongoing digital transformation and plays a key role in bringing its “Here&Now” identity to life. Through the assistant and the DSK Mobile banking app, the bank introduces a new way of interacting with customers – fast, accessible, and tailored to their needs. The “Here&Now” concept aims to provide timely and accurate information through the most convenient channel for users.
