DSK Bank is switching cards, ATMs, and POS terminals to the euro
Dear Customers,
The process of switching card services, ATMs, and POS terminals is now underway.
It began at 9:00 PM on December 31, 2025, and is expected to continue until 1:00 AM on January 1, 2026.
During this short period, the following services will not be operational:
Customers located abroad should be aware that the process follows Bulgarian local time.
Upon completion of the technical update, all DSK Bank cards and POS terminals will function in euros starting in the early hours of January 1, 2026.
ATM Information
After the adjustment, ATMs will dispense only euros, with the smallest banknote being €10. In the first days of January, ATMs will be replenished more frequently to meet increased demand.
At DSK Bank ATMs with a deposit function, only Bulgarian levs will be accepted until January 31, 2026. The gradual transition to accepting euros will begin in the first days of February 2026.
Recommendations for Customers
During the switching period, only cash payments will be possible.
It is advisable to have a small amount of cash on hand if you plan to make payments on New Year’s Eve, for example, for transportation or dining.
Customers abroad should consider the time difference when scheduling card payments.
Even if DSK Bank’s systems have already been successfully updated, payments at a POS terminal of another bank that has not yet completed the transition will not be processed. Throughout January 2026, cash payments in Bulgarian levs will be accepted.
Contact Center and AI Assistant
