Cards, ATMs, and POS terminals now operate in euros

DSK Bank has successfully completed the switch of its card services, ATMs, and POS terminals to the euro.

From the early hours of January 1, 2026, all cards and POS terminals are operating with the new currency.

After the update, ATMs now dispense only euros, with €10 as the smallest banknote.

During periods of high demand in the first days of January, ATMs will be replenished additionally.

If you make payments at POS terminals of other banks that have not yet completed the transition to the euro, the payment will not be processed.

At DSK Bank ATMs with a deposit function, only Bulgarian levs can be deposited until January 31, 2026.

The gradual transition to accepting euros begins in the first days of February 2026.

Work is ongoing to restore online and mobile banking (DSK Mobile, DSK Direct, DSK Smart, DSK Business, and Multicash). Access to these services will be provided gradually.

We remind you that the Bank’s Contact Center is operational during the days surrounding the transition to the euro. The AI assistant provides up-to-date information on system status at dskbank.bg.

All news and announcements regarding the introduction of the euro are published promptly in the “News” section.

We will provide you with further information as soon as all DSK Bank systems are fully restored.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during the transition to the euro.

Sincerely,

The DSK Bank Team
