
Gábor Kuncze
Gábor Kuncze has been a member of the Supervisory Board of DSK Bank since 2011.
Gábor Kuncze is a Hungarian politician, former Member of Parliament, former Minister of Interior Affairs, former president of the Free Democrats Association (SZDSZ).
In 1974, he obtained a civil engineering degree. In 1985, he graduated from the industrial faculty of the Károly Marx University of Economics, and in 1988 he received his qualification in economics.
From 1974, he was the technical leader at the Capital Water Works, then a construction foreman at the Central Hungarian Public Works and Deep Construction Company. Later, he worked as construction plant manager of the Danube Regional Water Works. Between 1983 and 1985, he was head of the investment department of Construction Industry Pulping Company. Between 1985 and 1990, he was the deputy economic director of Épgépterv.
He became involved in national political life in 1990, first as the spokesperson for transport and communications of the SZDSZ faction, then as a member of the budget, tax and finance committee of the Parliament, and between 1993 and 1994 he was the leader of the faction. From 1998 to 2000, he was the leader of the opposition representative group of his party, then worked as a member of the economic and agricultural committee, and as vice-chairman of the healthcare committee.
